ACA MARKETPLACE PLANS
The Health Insurance Marketplace is a platform that offers insurance plans to individuals, families, and small businesses. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) established the Marketplace as a means to extend health insurance coverage to uninsured Americans. Every health plan in the Marketplace offers the same set of essential health benefits, including doctor visits, preventative care, hospitalization, and more. I help you find health coverage that fits your needs and budget.
MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLANS
Medicare Advantage Plans are also called Part C of Medicare. They are usually a HMO or PPO and can include prescription drug benefits. One plan and one card. There are pros and cons to Medicare Advantage Plans. I can help you analyze your choices, find plans that have the doctors you currently use and have a prescription drug formulary that works with your medication needs.
MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT/MEDIGAP
Medicare Supplement Plans are also called Medigap Plans. These plans work with Original Medicare and cover some or most of the out of pocket costs that Original Medicare does not pay. You do not need referrals and can see any doctor who accepts Medicare patients. Prescription Drug Plans must be purchased separately. There are pros and cons to choosing a Medicare Supplement Plan and I help you evaluate your choices. I can also help you find an appropriate Prescription Drug Plan (PDP).
DUAL SPECIAL NEEDS PLANS
Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs) are Medicare Advantage Plans that coordinate benefits between Medicare and Medicaid (AHCCCS/ALTCS). To qualify for a Dual Special Needs Plan you must qualify for Medicare and Medicaid. These plans provide enhanced benefits which may include dental, hearing, vision transportation, gym membership and over the counter benefits.
